THE POWER OF CHILDREN AWARDS: MAKING A DIFFERENCE
Do you know a young person making an extraordinary difference in the lives of others or in the community through volunteerism and demonstration of good citizenship? This is a call to nominate the extraordinary work of Hoosier Youth for The Children's Museum of Indianapolis' Power of Children awards. Nominations are currently being sought throughout Indiana for youth in grades 6-11.

The Power of Children Awards were created in 2005 in conjunction with The Children's Museum of Indianapolis' new permanent exhibit, The Power of Children: Making a Difference scheduled to open in late 2007. The purpose of the awards is to help children and families realize that while some children are recognized nationally and internationally for their actions, there are many in our own communities whose good deeds too often go unnoticed. Award recipients will receive a $2,000.00 cash reward to continue their extraordinary project and receive a post-secondary educational scholarship to an Indiana-based institution of higher learning.

Please visit
www.ChildrensMuseum.org/PowerOfChildren after March 20 for more information and download a complete application. You may also call the museum's Customer Service Center at 317-334-4000 to have information and an application mailed to you.
