Program Description:
As part of our Lilly Sustaining Resource Development Initiative we are beginning a youth program. One element is the creation of a philanthropy workbook for second and third grade students. Some activities encourage parental involvement. Another aspect of this initiative was encouraging the High School Honor Society to undertake a charitable project. They organized a fund raising event to being a scholarship program for graduating students. Finally, a board member worked with a group of FFA parents to start an endowment to provide scholarships to graduating FFA students. All of these initiatives should continue in some form.
