Program Description:
As part of our Lilly Sustaining Resource Development Initiative we are beginning a youth program. One element is the creation of a philanthropy workbook for second and third grade students. Some activities encourage parental involvement. Another aspect of this initiative was encouraging the High School Honor Society to undertake a charitable project. They organized a fund raising event to being a scholarship program for graduating students. Finally, a board member worked with a group of FFA parents to start an endowment to provide scholarships to graduating FFA students. All of these initiatives should continue in some form.

Community Partner Organizations:
Honor Society members and their parents involved in a fundraiser before a basketball game. Honor Society not previously involved in philanthropy. FFA parents involved in organizing an endowed fund and beginning the fundraising necessary to fund it. Students and teachers and parents involved in distributing the workbooks and completing the exercises.
